NERID-1 is a next-generation mixed reality motion system I designed specifically for immersive exploration of a Reef Digital Twin. Inspired by underwater vehicles, its sculpted outer form pays homage to marine travel and mythology—named after the sea nymphs who guided ancient sailors. Inside, I designed the cockpit-like interior to feel like a real submersible, replacing physical windows with curved panoramic screens that display real-time, photorealistic underwater environments built in Unreal Engine.
As with Infinity Gate, NERID-1 integrates advanced motion hardware, haptic feedback, and a smart AI companion that guides the experience in real time. But unlike IG, this system is purpose-built for environmental storytelling and virtual reef navigation. I am leading both the form factor and software vision—creating a fully immersive experience that merges physical motion, real-time worlds, and intelligent human-machine interaction in a way that’s never been done before.
